B Gata H Kei

Episodes:  12
How:   Netflix {Stream}

Grade:  C

Summary: Yamada, first name withheld, is a 15-year-old girl who has just entered Takizawa High School. Easily considered exceptionally beautiful, she has only one problem with her own body, she thinks her vagina looks weird and is very self-conscious about it.

Upon entering high school, her dream was to have casual sex with 100 men but therein lies the problem, she believes an experienced partner will tease her about the way her vagina looks or simply the fact that she's a virgin. She stumbles upon the solution in the form of Kosuda Takashi, a fellow virgin, whom she believes will help ease the transition to more experienced partners.

There's only one small problem, Yamada doesn't know anything about sex or the ancient art of seduction, meaning her quest to conquer Kosuda will be a difficult one.

Thoughts:  What the hell did I just watch?  I'm kind of surprised that Netflix put this up on stream, although most of it is pretty harmless romcom. The final episode was a bit more..."edgey" .  I guess that's why it's rated TV-MA.
The show starts off with Yamada trying to find 100 fuck buddies basically and turns into her finding her first love, romantic rival and apparently an arch enemy.  It's almost identical to most other school life, romance comedies save for that one underlying factor.. Yamada doesn't want to fall in love, she just wants to have sex with 100 men.
Does this happen?  Not even close.  She's really not even a likable character for most of the series, she's just the snoddy, hot chick in school, showing small pieces of likableness here and there. I'm still not quite sure why Yamada was so popular, other then the fact she's hot.  At least she's openly bitchy though, Kanejou is a fake nice, popular girl...
Oh well, I made it through the entire series which was actually quite the feat.. Of course that may have had something to do with the fact that I switched to watching it subbed on the computer, from having watched eight of the twelve episodes dubbed... it was a breath of fresh air to get the Japanese voices.  The Dub was just too Americanized.

Who we have...

Yamada:   The lead female, she's attempting to have sex with 100 men!  She's a sex fiend and a virgin all at the same time;  having the drive to set out on the sex mission, but not the.... skill set. She seems to think her lady parts look wrong so, she wanted to find an obviously inexperienced male to be her first.
Of course, teenage emotions get in her way.  Instead of a casual sex partner she ends up falling in love with her cherry boy.  It takes all of the 12 episodes for her to completely realize that yes... she likes this guy and that the two of them don't have to just jump into bed and do it.
Personality wise, she is severely lacking.... she's an uptight bitch for the most part.  Deep down though she is really a kind, sweet girl who is just a little confused about stuff.  I'll admit her antics are quite amusing though...
One of the Few Sweet Moments.

Kosuda Takashi:  The poor, clueless, cherry boy that Yamada chooses to loose her virginity to. He's a "good guy", a gentleman really... just...clueless.   He's really good with photography and likes to take pictures of scenery more so then people, he does take some pictures of Yamada though.
He lives with his older sister and.... has a fear of heights that leads to some awkward breast grabbing on a giant slide at a water park.  About midway through he knows that he's fallen for Yamada and of course has no idea that his childhood friend  Miyano has the hots for him.

Miharu Takeshita:  Yamada's large breasted best friend, she's normally the voice of reason even though it falls on deaf ears.   She seems to be in a committed relationship that she hasn't really given Yamada much or any information about.   Her boyfriend kinda of feels sorry for her due to having to put up with Yamada and he has on more then one occasion gave Kosuda advice...

Mayu Miyano:   Kosuda's childhood friend, next
door neighbor and just all around sweet girl. She's not so secretly in love with Kosuda, everyone but him seems to realize this and Yamada actually feels threatened by the relatively plain looking, large chested girl. She is however the perfect wife, she can cook and take care of a man... sadly she's just too timid to really act on her desires.
During the end of the series, at Kyoka's Christmas party she gets lost in Kyoka's mansion and ends up in her... Brother Love Room.   Of course she's a bit naive so she really doesn't seem to think much of the room...

Kyoka Kanejou:   A rich, beautiful, seemingly kind girl who transfers into Yamada's school from America. On her first appearance she looses a pageant to Yamada and becomes extremely obsessed with crushing her.
She's really a bit psycho, and at her house she has a secret room fully devoted to her older brother. Who she loves...deeply....more then anything.  To the maids disapproval....

Keiichi Kanejou:    Kyoka's older brother, he doesn't show up till late in the series and of course... when he does... He falls for Yamada.   He's hot, says he's still a virgin {may actually be since his sister is a psycho} and asked Yamada on a date... right in front of Kosuda {rude}.  Of course she adamantly denies him and he's still after her... much to his sisters dismay.

The Ero-Gami;  Yamada, Miyano and Kosuda all have their very own Lust Gods.  No one can see them, but they are there to guide their humans to the glory of sex. Well, not Miyano's she seems to be just as innocent as the real Miyano.
Kosuda's may be the most amusing, certainly when he's put in place of his penis in a few scenes.

The End:  Noone got laid, well...other then Takeshita maybe. Yamada and Kosuda seem to finally be a "couple", the parts with Kosuda in the hospital and Yamada playing nurse were probably the best parts of the show.  Well, when the bed at the Love Hotel went berserk and threw Kosuda off breaking his leg right before they did the deed was also quite amusing...  haha.
Kyoka still has it out for Yamada, even more so now that her brother wants to loose his V-Card to her. I kind of wished that Keiichi would meet Mayu and the two of them would hit it off.. This would leave Kyoka with noone but.. That doesn't really matter.

Misato and Keiichi
Favorite Character;  Mami Misato -  The small build, tiny busted loud class mate.  She's always out to get an attractive guy even though most...all of the males in the show pretty much ignore her. She's extremely amusing when she's on the screen and spent a good portion of the Christmas Party episode riding around on Keiichi's back...
She sort of gets him to agree to marry her, even files the papers but... then gets into quite a bit of trouble.

Machinarium

System:  PSN/PS3

Bought:     Jan.  24th 2013

Started{1st}:  January 28th
Started{2nd}: October 15th
Beat:    October 21st

Trophies:  12 of 12
          No Plat.   :(

Idea:   You're a little robot that was dumped in the land field, after putting yourself back together you set off on your own to save the world!{girl!}.
These three thug robots have been harassing the other robots of the city in random ways and they are planning to blow up a tower. By solving sometimes very irritating puzzles you slowly take apart their grande scheme and...disable the bomb.

Thoughts:   I'll admit it, I used some online help for some of the more irritating puzzles in this game. The little arcade games and the tic-tac-toe game were my favorite parts, the stupid clock things were a bit annoying.
When you stand around for to long your little robot has bubble memories of certain situations, like when the thug robots picked on him and the time he spent with the girl-bot. Those were pretty cute...

The End:  The game was good..... for the most part the puzzles were more fun than irritating and there was a story behind all the puzzles.  The little robot defuses the bomb, flushes the badies, saves the girl and then the two of them steal a aircraft of some sort and take off!
During the credits, it looks like the aircraft crashes and two flying bots rescue and chopper off with them.

I guess it's a happy ending?

Assassin's Creed Brotherhood

System:   PS3

Bought:   July 2013

Started:   September 8th 2013
Beat:       October 6th 2013

Trophies:  22 out of  51

Idea:   Same idea as the first two, the AC Gang is on the run from Abstergo and end up of all places.. the current time Auditore Villa. It's the ruins of the once beautiful house of course, but with a little work they get electricity and are back up and running.
Desmond is still going into the Animus as Ezio, still trying to find where the hell they put the Apple of Eden. It starts up just where the second game left off with Ezio walking out of the Tomb after talking with Minerva, confused he saunters his way back to the Villa.
Why did Ezio leave Rodrigo alive?  Uhg.
Once back at the Villa, dreams of retirement are quickly squelched. After being scolded by Machiavelli for not killing Rodrigo, Ezio turns his attention to...finer things.  He's totally caught with his pants down {off} when Cesare Borgia shows up with his army{?}, the villa is basically destroyed,  Uncle Mario is killed by Cesare and the Apple is taken. {You also loose all the toys/money you got from AC2}.
Ezio escapes with his life {barely} and as the doctor says.... Maybe he's getting too old for this.

Thoughts:  It's basically on the same level as AC2, with the exception of the stupid shop quests and the online stuff.  There's no way I am ever getting the plat for this game due to the online trophies, but that's okay.
The story was pretty much the normal, Templars become a nuisance and you kill them all. More places to hop around, more towers to climb, more annoying things to gather.. Same old, Same old.
The best part?  Probably being able to recruit other Assassins and the ability to summon them whenever you feel like it {within reason}.

Ending:   WTF, I knew it'd be open ended to continue onto Revalations and due to spoilers online I knew Lucy was going to get stabbed.  Didn't quite think Minerva was going to spout some gibberish as you hop around and THEN Minerva pretty much forces you to stab her...
Okay.   Who is this "she" that Minerva kept babbling about?  Anyways, Yes Desmond and his band of Assassins make their way to Juno's Temple or whatever and they get the Apple of Eden. Yey!

Ezio's Ending;  He wipes out all the Borgia and becomes the "Mentor" for the Italian Assassins, he also gets to use the Apple of Eden which was actually quite fun just zapping the crap out of all the bad guys! Of course there's no real "end" to this either... It just stops after he finishes of Cesare and puts the Apple in the Temple of Juno.
Best thing to happen during Brotherhood?  Claudia becomes an Assassin! Yey! I like Ezio's sister much more then I like Ezio. Too bad you never see her do a hell of a lot... Just run the Brothel.

September ~ You Went By Too Fast.

This was a really boring month. Which I guess is a good thing, it sped by though... I don't really even remember September.

Do I remember what I bought though?  Yep!

Sailor Moon Voume 7 -  Maybe I should have waited for later in October and just bought the second box set for the Manga, but... I figure if I'm careful I can actually get each volume cheaper then the box set as a whole.
Plus, the box doesn't look that great and the last box the cardboard was a bit flimsy.  I don't really store Manga in a way that the box would even be useful.

Sailor Moon; Short Stories 1 -  Well, It's Sailor Moon.  Despite having no desire to involve myself with
the Sailor V Manga set, These Short Story books looked a bit more interesting.
Although I was on the fence about this one, it has Chibi Usa and ChibiChibi on the cover so... I figured it'd be all about Chibi Usa.  I was right, it was mainly small stories about Chibi Usa and for some reason ChibiChibi isn't involved in a single story in the book.  Uhg.
Here's hoping the second book is better.

Star Trek Into Darkness BluRay/DVD Combo & Star Trek BluRay-  Walmart you amaze me sometimes, it's like you can read my mind.  We got the first Star Trek before we had a BluRay player so, it was DVD only.  Walmart, for some amazing reason bundled the newest movies combo back with the older movies BluRay.
Awful Price?  Nope.  It was the same price as the Combo Pack alone.  Yey!

Network Purchases: Nothing!  This is a dead month a very dead month.

ICO;  This is a prime example of expecting too much out of a game and then being extremely disappointed. Not sure why I was expecting amazing, but it certainly isn't that great.  It is pretty though.

Resident Evil Chronicles HD Collection;  There were two games here, I only let one of them download and I really can't remember which one it was. Didn't expect much from this game and that's what I got, the controls are rather frustrating.
Only played it for maybe an hour, may try for more at a later date.

Galaga Legions DX;   This looks like an arcade game, it probably was an arcade game at one point in it's life. Shooting little space invader things with a tiny space ship.... This is oddly addictive.

Sailor Moon 7 -                                7.38
Sailor Moon Short Stories-                     5.82
Star Treks -                                  21.00

Total:                                        34.20
